October 28th: National Prescription Take-Back Day

Drop off your unused or expired medication at the National Prescription Take-Back event on October 28th from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at Altoona Emergency Services or at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.

Prescription drug take-back days increase the awareness of safe medication disposal in Eau Claire County. Residents are encouraged to safely dispose of expired or unwanted medications at drop off locations. Dropping of medications is anonymous and quick!

What Can I Drop Off?

You may safely dispose of controlled and uncontrolled substances, over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, creams, non-aerosol sprays, vials, and pet medications at these events. Medical sharps (needles, syringes, and lancets) are not accepted at these locations.
