April 27th: National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Drop off your unused or expired medication at the Take-Back event on April 27th, from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at Altoona Emergency Services or at the Eau Claire County Government Center.

Prescription drug take-back days increase the awareness of safe medication disposal in Eau Claire County. Residents are encouraged to safely dispose of expired or unwanted medications at drop off locations. Dropping of medications is anonymous and quick!

What Can I Drop Off?

You may safely dispose of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, creams, non-aerosol sprays, vials, and pet medications at these events.

Medical sharps (needles, syringes, and lancets) are not accepted at these locations.
